iF researched and designed a mobile app prototype that parents can use with their kids to encourage development of non-cognitive skills.

The Challenge

Rewarding responsibility

How can kids and parents work together to develop the non-cognitive skills that fuel academic success?

The solution

A challenge to the status quo

In our prototype, parents challenge their kids to activities that develop and practice specific skills. The app encourages kids and helps parents provide reinforcement.

A Snap: Kids can use photos to show off progress.

An encouraging team: Parents and kids can issue challenges to each other and offer a little motivation when they check in on progress.

More than chores: Kids pratice the skills they need to succeed in school and life.

Skill master: Kids earn points and badges as they progress.

It all adds up: Redeem skill points for fun items.
