Alysha Patel
Likely iF’s youngest employee to date, Alysha stepped in to backfill in recruiting and onboarding support, and became a full-time Operations Associate. Alysha left iF to complete her degree at Seattle University, and pursue a career in her hometown on the East Coast.
Anesat León-Guerrero
With a unique background spanning tech, DEI strategy in education and nonprofit work, Anesat lends her depth and breadth of experience as a Senior Strategist on the Education team. In her role at iF, Anesat is inspired by the community and youth she works with on a daily basis, and enjoys practicing empathy and critical thinking in arriving at creative solutions for her clients.
Chris Shannon
Chris brings a torrent of tech experience to iF. Prior to joining the studio, he spent more than a decade at both Apple and Microsoft inhabiting a wide variety of roles, including finance manager, buyer, and product manager for Microsoft’s Windows and Robotics businesses. He leads a team of iFsters whose love for baseball, and frustration with the Seattle Mariners, rival his own. Bonus: Chris is a superhero when it comes to Excel skills.
Gabriela Rodil
Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, Gabby has worked in almost as many countries as she has years of experience—20 countries over 22 years. Much like her decorated passport, Gabby has a wide dearth of background to her name, including finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, operations, risk management, and leadership. As iF’s CFO, she ensures that the organization’s financial resources and strategy are aligned to its overall mission and values. Talk to Gabi about photography, traveling, or skiing.
Isabela Montalvo
A firm believer that designers are visual problem solvers, Isabela comes to iF after working with creative agencies in both New York and Seattle. She enjoys using her creative talents to help clients find graphic solutions to communicate their message, whether it’s a logo or a data set, and enjoys bringing her multicultural background to help clients see design challenges from different perspectives. In her spare time Isabela runs her own enamel pin shop and donates 10% to United We Dream, an organization helping immigrants all around the U.S.
Johnny Edick
A longtime Pacific Northwester, Johnny comes to iF with a wide rangeof experiences in technical product development. From building a CRM for pets to pharmaceutical research, Johnny loves removing blockers and improving internal processes to transform ideas into concrete technical solutions. As iF’s Technical Product Manager, Johnny is helping us develop and refine some of our own products as well as the technical solutions we provide for our clients.
Joy Shibata
Joy came to iF to exercise her finely tuned design skills, after spending several years consulting at companies like Microsoft, Starbucks, and Wizards of the Coast. At iF, she quietly and quickly turns complex systems into clear and effective things of beauty. Joy loves texture, travel, and her photogenic kitty.
Kristin Powers
Kristin was a member of our education practice, working on big projects like the Instructional Design survey. Now in Florida, Kristin is Director Product Education at AYTM - an automated market research company. She organizes all the training, onboarding, and eLearning for clients, employees, and new hires.
Mike Yoon
A veteran of the Seattle non-profit management scene, Mike spent the better part of two decades at notable PNW institutions like KEXP, the Pacific Science Center, and the Pratt Fine Arts Center. Mike uses communication, teamwork, analysis and research to build community for mission-driven organizations and businesses in his role as the Social Impact Associate Director. The former Voice of Villanova University basketball and football, Mike now provides e-sports commentary on Twitch and YouTube.
Rose Heffernan
Rosie was an art director in design at iF, working on a huge variety of projects that tapped her visual design, animation, and video skills. She moved on to Amazon as an art director for their device marketing team, in particular for the new Echo Show 5. By night, she works on her semi-new house, fishes, and plays the tenor banjo.
Sarah Outhwaite
What motivates Sarah? Telling complex stories in intuitive ways, helping people figure out what inspires them, and all forms of dance. Sarah love blue sky ideation that leads to thoughtful designs and prototypes. Before iF, she worked as a media experiencedesigner for live performances at the Juilliard School, and as Digital Media Manager at the Guggenheim Museum. Ask Sarah about off-road travel stories and the history of media formats
Tynan Gable
A self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, Tynan loves to leap from planes, run marathons, and ride her bike through rush hour traffic. She came to the Social Impact team at iF to solve problems and apply her business skills both locally and globally. While pursuing her MBA, Tynan managed consulting teams for experiential learning courses, and worked with companies on their accessibility and inclusion strategies.
Victoria Burwell
A rare 3rd generation Seattleite, Victoria came to iF to be a catalyst for inclusion, collaboration, and innovation. She has worked with executives in several industries to transform their companies through strategic planning and change management. Prior to iF, Victoria founded a predictive analytics company, turned around McGraw-Hill Education for private equity, and grew and sold an edtech adaptive online learning company. When she isn’t running to keep up with her two active kids, Victoria tries to find a quiet moment to share a glass of wine with her spunky dog, Moe.
Zoe True
In her five years at iF, Zoe curated a learning journey on technology in the social sector, sent 44k Slack messages, helped establish our DEI efforts, and was a midwife for the Agora project. Now, she is working as a Project Manager III at Seattle Children's Hospital with People and Strategy.

While at iF, Aaron was one of our most reliably imaginative and collaborative designers, bringing experiences and data-driven storytelling to life. Now, he's a Senior Brand Designer at Amazon.


Alex contributed to many strategy and research projects at iF, most notably a string of Intentional Learning Sessions for high-profile clients. She went on to Slalom Consulting where she works as an analyst.

Ashleigh was our resourcing specialist, figuring out project staffing and keeping the trains running on time. She is now focused on mapping and engaging Senior Software Engineering Talent in North America for Google.


Beth was a senior strategist with our Social Impact team, working on ways to improve philanthropy in the U.S. That's no small feat. She is currently consulting with startups in the social impact space. By night, she is working on her next album with her band, March to May.

Chris was our resident data analytics guru, bringing a wealth of experience from multiple industries to his director role at iF. Today, he's working as the Head of Shipper Insights at Convoy.


As a strategist at iF, Daniel was a stealthy researcher and avid organizer and conveyor of information. He translated that skill quite naturally to teaching social studies at Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, Colorado.


As an Education Director, David spent his days at iF deepening our connections to major players in the space and leading teams with new clients. Today, he's working as Director of Implementation at Zearn Math.


Emma worked on many visual, experiential, and product design projects during her time at iF. She moved back to her hometown of St. Louis and is working for Bayer Crop Science.

Gedney wore a few hats at iF, first in Marketing and then as a Strategist on the BTS team. She joins fellow iF alumni Tyler Middleton at Violet.io in content marketing.


Gretchen managed our finance and operations team for years at iF. She wielded a mean spreadsheet and created the systems that kept us running. She left iF to return to her first love: real estate. Gretchen now works as a real estate broker for Metropolist in Seattle.


Ilona rose from finance intern to lead strategist on the education team during her time at iF. She worked on dozens of projects from Learning Sessions to large education initiatives. Today she's working as a senior strategist with Smashing Ideas in Seattle.


Jackie served as iF's Director of Cultural Awareness & Integration, helping both clients and iF alike in their DEI journey.

A data-focused strategist while at iF, Lauren wielded large data sets and spun them into thoughtful strategies. Today, she makes sense of even more data as a Marketing Analyst for Tableau.


Lyle specialized in interactive design at iF, contributing to a number of large-scale prototypes and products. He went on to become a lead designer working on mission operations tools at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.


As iF's Digital Marketer, Malia built out processes and campaigns to help iF's voice and brand stand out and thrive.


Marilyn helped out for years behind the scenes at iF on everything from finance to event planning. She's now dedicating her time to her visual art career, and recently had her own solo show here in Seattle.


Matt was instrumental on many creative and design projects, notably our work designing data dashboards for Viacom. He moved on to Amazon, where today he's a UX Designer with the Alexa Device Services design group.


As a technical program manager at iF, Megan worked on a variety of complex products, from initial idea to user testing to launch. Today, she's working as a UX engineer for hot Seattle startup Armoire.


Michael built and led our social impact team at iF, focusing on how the amount and quality of philanthropic giving could improve through innovative approaches. Today, he's taking that knowledge to Microsoft, where he's working as a Design Researcher.

Peggy supported iF execs by tapping her considerable network and managing a thousand details. Today, she is working at Providence Health.


Rosie was an art director in design at iF, working on a huge variety of projects that tapped her visual design, animation, and video skills. She moved on to Amazon as an art director for their device marketing team, in particular for the new Echo Show 5. By night, she works on her semi-new house, fishes, and plays the tenor banjo.


Rosie worked on organizational design and management at iF, and led up a comprehensive salary survey. She went on to Slalom and is working as a consulting analyst. She's a proud cat mom.


Ryoko kept all the trains running on time as executive assistant to iF's founding partners. She and her family moved back to Japan, and Ryoko is working as secretary to the president at a ski resort called Kiroro Resort in Hokkaido.

Savy breathed life into iF creative work through illustrations and data visualizations. She now works as a communications designer for Platform.sh and has a really cute baby.


As one of iF's original employees, Seth drew upon his dearth of strategic knowledge and experience in the field of production for 10 years with iF. Today, Seth spends his days at his residence in Vermont occasionally consulting with iF.


Shelley was principal at iF for over 8 years, managing marketing for the company and running strategy projects. In addition to continuing her adventures in quilting, she's now doing independent research, writing, and consulting.


Truman was a strategy intern at iF while completing his business degree at the University of Washington. He's now ramping up as a consulting analyst at Accenture.


Tyler headed up iF's Business and Technology Strategy practice for a number of years, managing successful relationships with some of our largest clients. He is now foraying into the world of E-Commerce at a small start-up.
